Four simple ways to study the Bible, one quiet time at a time
SOAPaDay is a free, ad-free discipleship program from Faith Software, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that builds technology to help people draw closer to God.
Most of us don't need more Bible study. We need a simple shape for the few minutes we have. Each method below is one such shape. Pick the one that fits your season, and switch whenever you like.

S.O.A.P.
Scripture · Observation · Application · Prayer
A gentle daily rhythm that ends in prayer. The default in SOAPaDay.
H.E.A.R.T.
Hear · Examine · Analyze · Relate to Christ · Take Action
Moves from hearing the Word to one concrete step this week.
C.O.M.A.
Context · Observation · Meaning · Application
A question-led way to understand a passage in its setting.
Swedish Method
Light bulb · Question mark · Arrow
Three simple things to look for in any passage.
Which one should I start with?
If you're new, start with SOAP. If you want to dig into context, try COMA. If you like action steps, try HEART. If you read with a small group, try the Swedish Method. There's no wrong choice. The point is to meet with God in His Word.
