SOAPaDay is Faith Software's discipleship program. It helps an ordinary believer sit down with a passage of Scripture, slow down long enough to notice what it says, ask what it means for today, and answer God in prayer — and then come back tomorrow and do it again.
It is free to use. There is no premium tier that unlocks the Bible, and no subscription standing between a believer and a daily habit of prayer. Gifts to Faith Software, Inc. are what keep it that way.
Who SOAPaDay serves
Most believers already know they want to be in the Word more than they are. What's missing usually isn't desire — it's a simple shape for the time. A reading plan with nowhere to write things down turns into skimming. A blank journal with no plan turns into a page left empty. SOAPaDay gives those few minutes a shape that a new believer can follow on day one and a long-time disciple can keep for years.
We built it for individuals first: the parent who has ten minutes before the house wakes up, the student reading between classes, the retiree who wants to finally keep a record of what God has been teaching them. It also serves small groups and churches that want to read the same passages together during the week and arrive on Sunday or at Wednesday night study with something to share.
You don't need to belong to a particular church, use any of our other programs, or know anything about technology. You need a Bible passage, a few minutes, and a willingness to listen.
What a day with SOAPaDay looks like
SOAP is a long-standing devotional method, and each letter is one step. SOAPaDay walks through the same four steps every day, so the habit becomes familiar instead of something you have to reinvent each morning:
Step 1
Scripture
Read the day's passage from your reading plan, slowly. The goal is to read closely, not to cover ground.
Step 2
Observation
Write down what you notice. Who is speaking, what's repeated, what surprised you. This is the step that turns reading into paying attention.
Step 3
Application
Ask what this passage asks of you today — at home, at work, in a conversation you've been avoiding — and write it in your own words.
Step 4
Prayer
Answer God. Thank Him, confess, and ask for help living out what you just wrote. It all stays in your journal history.

Why a daily habit is part of our mission
Faith Software exists to build technology that helps believers draw closer to God. For most of us, that closeness isn't built in one dramatic moment; it's built in the unremarkable, repeated minutes spent with Scripture and in prayer. SOAPaDay is the part of our work aimed squarely at those minutes.
Across the week, the journal becomes something a believer can look back on — a record of the passages that stuck, the applications they wrestled with, and the prayers God answered. When a small group reads the same plan, it also becomes a shared language: people arrive at study having already sat with the text, and the conversation starts deeper.
We believe the tool should get out of the way. The same four steps every day keep the attention on the passage and the prayer rather than on the app.

How SOAPaDay stays free
SOAPaDay is free for every user. That's a choice, not a promotion: cost should never be the reason a believer goes without a daily practice of Scripture and prayer. Faith Software, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 42-3505436), and we don't distribute profits to anyone.
Keeping it free still costs something — hosting, and the engineering time to keep SOAPaDay working as phones, browsers, and operating systems change. Those costs are covered by voluntary gifts: some given directly on our Support page, and some given through the optional support link inside SOAPaDay itself. Nobody is ever required to give to keep using it.
