You don't need a technical background to set up myChelper. Most of the work is deciding what your people need to know, and you already know that. Here's what setup looks like from start to finish, so there are no surprises.

From signup to your first Sunday
Step 1
Create your free church account
Sign up on our secure admin site. A short guided setup creates your church's profile and starts you on the Free plan. No credit card is asked for.
Step 2
Look over your starter app and website
Your church's app home screen and a starter website are created from the details you entered. Open each one and see what your members and visitors will see.
Step 3
Make it yours
Add your logo and colors, rearrange the home-screen tiles, and edit the website pages. App changes stay in a draft until you preview and publish them, so you can take your time.
Step 4
Add your people and your helpers
Add members to your church directory one at a time, or import a spreadsheet of up to 2,000 people. Then invite another leader or two as admins, each with only the permissions they need.
Step 5
Share your church's QR code
Put the QR code from your admin account in the bulletin or on a slide, or text the link. Members download the free myChelper app, and one tap on its welcome screen finds your church.
Step 6
Post your first announcement
Welcome everyone and tell them what to expect. Then add your next few events and open a prayer request or two, so the app has something in it on day one.
Optional, when you're ready
Online giving is something you turn on later, if and when your church wants it. Gifts pay out to your church's own Stripe account, and once you confirm your church is a registered nonprofit and add its legal name, donors' giving statements count as written acknowledgments for tax purposes. On the Free plan, online giving needs the $5/month Giving add-on. Each gift carries a 1% myChelper platform fee plus standard card processing.

Good to know before you start
- The Free plan is not a trial. It doesn't expire, and the core app and website stay free.
- Your church appears inside the shared myChelper app. An app under your church's own name is part of the optional Branded plan.
